The storm had finally subsided, and the wreckage strewn beaches showed that a ship had been destroyed in the storm. But why? and how exactly did that storm form so quickly? even the meteorologists of the area couldn't understand it. thats because a Pokemon created it, on that slumbers deep within the sea. This Pokemon, whom had been asleep far out in the middle of the ocean, buried under miles of waves, had awoken by the series of Psychic shocks that had also emanated from the same area, but above that surface of the ocean. these shocks astounded many a psychic trainer, and even Sabrina had been concerned about their origins and their power. But none had an answer. Back to that wreckage strewn beach. it was a desolate wasteland, filled with chunks of expensive, and in some cases smoldering, Cruise liner. One of the largest chunks had evidence of an explosion, but instead of the blast radius on the metal being black, it was purple, and still glowing. if one foolishly wandered the wreckage, that person would find many shiny objects strewn about, along with a very strange and exotic assortment of items. If the person wandering the wreckage was more courageous, they would venture up and onto the hulking carcass of the ship that was still intact, maybe even venturing inside. but that isn't what they would do first. they would, if the adventurer had a heart and a soul, check out the man that was laying face-down on the deck, the one with a bit of dried blood on the back of his head. this Man, while giving the impression of being dead, was very much alive, but even he did not know this, as he was lost in a combination of misery, sorrow, and unconsciousness. The dried blood? No worries, thats the wound that flipped him into unconsciousness. it's already healed. the man's subconsciousness is just waiting... waiting for some compassionate soul to come and bring the poor man out of the darkness. Will there be anyone saving poor Cyther?

((Yeah, we started this so we could rp without the confines of the RP itself. Think of it kinda as a Free RP.
This way we don't have to worry about the fact that we don't actually have any of the pokemon from our "History" sections yet and we can play out that History before jumping into the constrained Route by Route RP.))

A white figure appeared as it drifted down slowly from the clouds above a desolate and deserted beach. It was a female of average height and build, but with strikingly stark white hair and raging violet eyes. Her outfit was also strange and out of the socially acceptable fashions. It was an entirely fitted white outfit with a purple stripe heading down each side from armpit to ankle and shoulder to wrist. She had no footwear, but the outfit covered up to the heel of her feet and had a strip of fabric that ran to her middle toe on each foot. The same goes for the hands, which had glovelike coverings that extended from the wrist of the sleeves and reached to her middle finger on each hand, leaving the other fingers bare. The seventeen year old girl landed gracefully in the sand and stared somewhat distractedly at the water as it lapped up against the exposed skin on her feet.
Sakura had just escaped from Giovanni and his mind games. She was tired of people manipulating her and she was especially tired of the deceitful Team Rocket. Sakura hated the way her body had been manipulated and experimented on. Now her psychic powers were far out of control, requiring her constant focus to keep in them in check. And Giovanni had used her like a Pokemon! He had commanded her like she belonged to him. She hated how Team Rocket had used her psychic abilities for their own gain.
And her memory… Everything seemed like an out of focus television… filled with static. There was a lot she hated, but not much she could remember liking and nothing she could envision that she now cared for. Aside from her Espeon, nothing seemed to make her happy.
But she had escaped… She was free. She didn’t know for how long, but for now, she was free. And it felt wonderful.
Now to figure out where she’d fled to. As Sakura looked around, she began to notice the wreckage flung about the shore. She took in her surroundings and felt energy coming from close by. A place where there were lots of people… There must be a town or city nearby. That was good. Maybe she could blend in and disappear. But before she did any exploring in that direction, she decided to examine the wrecked boat.
It appeared to be a very expensive and high class Cruise Liner. She was not sure what had happened to it, but she was sure that no storm could have wrecked it this badly. The ship had to have been under some sort of attack, but by what she could not tell. Sakura focused and lifted herself into the air with her psychic power and landed on the cracking deck of the ship. She moved with an inhuman catlike grace, walking with a graceful toe to heel motion as she observed what was left of the ship. It was then that something caught her attention. There appeared to be a boy aboard the ship, unconscious by the looks of him as he lay facedown on the deck. But she could sense his energy and reeling mind. And Eifee confirmed that he was breathing as the purple cat leapt over and sniffed him.
Sakura was troubled and hesitant, but in the end she lifted him and carried him off of the doomed cruiser. Once on the sand, she focused her mind and took control of some of the nearby water, as there was an ample supply, and with a flick of her hand splashed him repeatedly in the face in the hopes that he would awaken from the cold shock.

Cyther jerked awake, the new feeling of Salt water splashing against his face was strangely... Refreshing. It ended the maelstrom that was his mind, returning it to the calmness that was the ocean before the cataclysmic storm. Before he could open his eyes, a few tears leaked out the sides. the salt water had managed to drip down and onto the mess of the back of his head... or was it the loss of his only partner to that inhumane devil Giovanni... His eyes snapped open, a fiery fury burning in the normally orange eyes, so that there were flecks of silver. This instantly died away as he realized where he was. Finally, he spluttered. "All right! Enough saltwater!" His eyes, now fully working, softened as he saw that he had yelled at someone who was only trying to help. Yet... there was something odd about this girl... She felt like mew two... the way his presence would fill the area... hers did to, just not as amplified. Opening his mouth, he gave off a dry, raspy cough. "Wh-where..." The cough came again, a little more productive this time. "Where... am I?" the girl was obviously a trainer, this was evident to the Espeon at her side. the sight of the Pokemon looking intently at Cyther made him laugh. Very hoarsely, but it was still a laugh. slowly, he stood up, to his full height of 6'7. looking down at the girl, he smiled, and turned his gaze to himself. Clearing his throat, he managed to rasp out. "wow... I am quite presentable right now..." He was a mess. there were stray bits of seaweed in his long green hair, and when he ran his hand through it, he came to the patch of dried blood, poked it curiously, and screamed with pain. the wound, now agitated, began to bleed again. his clothes were in tatters, evidence of a once fine silk tuxedo and cape, now just rips and tears. trying to take a step forward, he fell to his knees. there just wasn’t any will left in his body...sheepishly, he turned back to the young lady. he opened his mouth to talk, but no sound came out, as he fell forward in another faint. A strange voice rang out in his head. Don’t you dare, you said that you wouldn’t die on me, at least until you got me away from Giovanni... The man's consciousness responded. but where are you? where did that bastard take you to? Thrasher... come back to me... his thoughts slowly faded as the world went black. a gruff Tyranitar's roar emanated from his mind, the same way that Mewtwo’s voice had emanated from his. his eyelids fluttered, opened, closed and opened again. "i-i... will go on... for your sake... just as soon... as i get... better..." his sub-consciousness screamed at him to stay awake, but Cyther's body did not respond. Repeating the scream, again, but in a Tyranitar’s formidable voice, words sounding more desperate as they gained in volume. eventually, if there was anyone with a slight Psychic ability around, they would notice the mental traffic coming from this man and investigate further. Suddenly, an apparition of a Tyranitar appeared, looking forlorn. help him... someone... please...

(Any thoughts, or anything said with her mind are in italics)
Sakura stared at him numbly as he collapsed into blissful unconsciousness once again. She’d heard forceful thoughts being projected into his mind, though she could not trace the origin. The girl could not tell if they had originated from within or without his mind. And she was not about to investigate. It was considered very rude and a major taboo among psychics to read others thoughts without permission unless it was absolutely necessary. So unless he was going insane or was going to die unless she traced this thing, then she was not going to invade the privacy of his mind.
“Too bad,” she said aloud to Eifee, using her mind rather than her voice, “We didn’t get a chance to learn his name.”
Eifee looked up at her and mewed (as in meow) sadly. Sakura sighed and lifted him once again. She decided that it was impossible to leave him there on the beach. She was already involved now that she had saved him and she had to carry through what she’d begun. Unfortunately, they’d be walking as she did not wish to arouse attention. The Espeon rubbed up against her leg happily.
“Yeah, Yeah,” she said, “I know we’re doing the right thing. Unlike some people we know.”
It took them about an hour and a half to reach the city from the beach. Sakura did not know or care what the name of the city was, only that they had reached civilization. They did stand out in a crowd, considering she was carrying a large, because of his height, injured male across her back. Finally, the crowd, being stupid as a whole, actually had an individual break forth and call the emergency number. Moments after she thanked the kindly old woman, orally, help arrived.
Soon they were riding comfortably in an ambulance. Sakura was in the front with the driver, while the boy rode in the back with a paramedic who was already checking his vitals. Sakura told the men about where she’d found him and the visible injuries she’d seen. She also told them what he’d said before passing out again and that his mind seemed troubled. They took all of this information in without question and rushed him into the hospital as soon as the wheels stopped.
Sakura waited in the… well… waiting room as the doctors performed a number of tests on the guy she’d discovered and hours passed before any of them came to speak to her. They asked her if she was related to him or was his friend and she replied that she’d just found him, nothing more. Then they had her repeat everything she’d already told them on arrival as well as the paramedics in the ambulance. Eventually, seeing as no relations were around, they admitted her into his hospital room. Their tests were inconclusive and he appeared to be in some sort of comatose state. Finally, they left her alone and she was able to examine him.
“Fine,” she said aloud, “You leave me no choice. This may hurt a bit.”
She took a breath and Eifee stared at her as she concentrated on the energy she felt that was his mind, but she only got random and confused thoughts. These stray thoughts were flying all around his mind and distracting her from the heart of what he was thinking. Try as she might, his mind was too much of a mess, she could not find his main focus. She compromised by delivering a message instead.
Withdrawing from his mind and speaking with hers, she said, “You don’t know me and I do not know you. But we met on the beach and I am telling you that it is imperative you wake up NOW.”

Cyther jerked awake, a cold sweat forming everywhere possible. “What the hell…” He slowly sat up, taking off all of the monitoring devices that were placed on him, removing the IV from his wrist, still looking around half dazed. “Where am I? Why can’t I think straight? All I remember is… Mewtwo… and Giovanni…” Cyther’s Hands formed fists. “That Bastard… I will hunt him down… Damn it! I will kill him!” His fist pounded the table next to him and he tried to hold back the tears. Realizing that he wasn’t alone, he slowly scanned the room, and his eyes met something unexpected. The steely gaze went straight into the girl’s eyes, and it softened immensely. “You… Saved me… right? Where are we?” he noticed the Espeon standing intently at the girl’s side. “An Espeon? Yes… you are the one that saved me, the one that feels like… You fill the area with your presence, weather you try or not. You feel extremely similar to the Psychic Pokemon that destroyed my ship… then nearly destroyed Giovanni… Mewtwo…” Sighing, he went to scratch his head, but a large amount of dried blood on the back of his head stopped him. He touched it gingerly and winced. “So that’s the reason I couldn’t get up…” Sighing, he looked down at the remnants of his clothes. “Heh… no one from Cinnabar would recognize me in this state…” With a sad smile, he laid back down, turning his head to face the young lady. “So… you delivered me from death, I cannot thank you enough for that. What is your name, if I may ask?” Suddenly, there was a commotion outside the door, and a bunch of doctors rushed in, all babbling about how the monitors went dead all at the same time. Seeing Cyther awake and alert, they stopped in their tracks. The head doctor, confused beyond all reason, stepped forward. “You are dead! When we brought you in here, the last strains of your life disappeared! Your heart rate dropped down to three beats a Minute! How-” One of the other doctors interjected. “Can you explain how you… erm … got here…in the first place?” Cyther laughed. “You know the storm last night?” the doctor nodded. “Well, I was caught in that, the wreckage on the beach, that’s my ship. I was attacked by an ancient Pokemon, the one that created the storm, and then Team Rocket attacked...” Cyther sighed, as the doctor obviously wasn’t going to believe him. Affirming his suspicions, he looked up just in time to see the other doctors exchange skeptical looks. The head doctor however, just kept the same placid face, and was trying hard not to laugh. When it was apparent that Cyther, looking ready to leap up and kill the doctors for their insolence, was not going to talk anymore, the head doctor sighed. “Well, that’s a very interesting predicament, but I think that we are going to have to keep you here for a bit longer, just to make sure that you are absolutely fine.” Cyther snarled. “You fools… if you want evidence, then go outside and down to the beach. I thought that being a doctor took actual brains…” He shook his head with disgust. “Now leave, before I begin to get irrational.” Cyther’s eyes flashed out of anger, and the doctors eyed him wearily. Sitting up with a vehement exclamation, the doctors began to wearily back away. “Oh, and If I’m a dead man, then how am I able to do this?” As he spoke, he took one of the smaller instruments form the table next to him, hurling it with all his might at the now hastily retreating doctors. It crashed against the closing door. Once they were gone, he sighed. “Idiots…” He slumped back into his bed, looking over once more at the girl. “Heh… they won’t be too happy about that… But I need to get out of here… any way you could get rid of this large scab on the back of my head? Or is that too risky…” He sighed again… this girl, whom he hadn’t even learned the name of, had sat by him for the past hours, keeping watch over him. “My name, Is Cyther, Cyther Drake. And as I said before, I will never be able to repay you, unless… perhaps…” His hands curled into fists once again, and his eyes “Are you… perhaps… familiar with a certain…Giovanni? I need to deliver some serious punishment to that insolent fool.”

“Giovanni?” she repeated the name; there was a pause before she answered, “I am afraid that the only Giovanni that I know of is the leader of the Viridian City Gym. I won a badge from him in the Indigo League Challenge.”
Sakura took the opportunity to look Cyther up and down several times, observing his physical and mental state. Aside from the back of his head, she could see no external injuries on any part of him that was visible. And she didn’t exactly see blood seeping through his clothing, so she assumed he was fine. The sheets of the hospital bed he lay on were a tangled mess and there were monitor cords tossed about.
“I wouldn’t recommend ripping that out,” she commented as he reached for another cord, “That’s your IV line.”
She sighed and took a look at the back of his head. Cyther appeared to have sustained a rather nasty blow to the head during whatever struggle he’d gone through. A large scab had formed, but the wound wasn’t entirely healed yet. Too much movement would, very likely, reopen it; yet again. But other than that, he appeared to be fine: no broken bones, open wounds, abrasions, or cuts.
Finally, she said, “You should probably listen to those doctors. I don’t think you should be going anywhere just yet. You rest and I will return to check on you in the morning.”
She turned around suddenly and her hair whipped around behind her as she went to exit the small room. Sakura walked gracefully and fluidly, trying to act confident although she had no idea where she was going. Espeon exited after her, taking one final look at the bedraggled boy.
Just as she reached the doorway, on her way out, she said almost hesitantly, “Name’s Rene.”
And then she was gone. Sakura had felt the need to give the guy at least some name to go by, even if it was not her real one. Giovanni and his scientists had given it to her upon completion of their experiments; it was only fitting that she try to hide her identity with it. It would be the last thing they’d be expecting.

He watched her walk away, only slightly confused. “Rene… Hmmm…. I'll remember that.” He sighed as he lay back, staring at the ceiling. “Well, seems that everyone is telling me to rest, so I guess I should…” Sighing, he carefully got up and walked about for a bit. “I really should get some rest. Being unconscious really makes a person tired…” Yawning, he looked around. “But I certainly don’t want the doctors to come back in…” He sighed. “There isn’t anything I can do about it, so I guess I will just go back to sleep…” It couldn’t possibly be a bad thing, going to sleep… Or could it? But, Cyther needed the rest, so he slowly got back into the bed, laid down and fell into a deep sleep. Soon, he was dreaming, but this dream wasn’t a very good one… The sky was black, with occasional streaks of lightning. The ocean was in worse condition than the sky, as there were streaks of energy pulsating from one point in the surface, mirroring that of those in the sky. The view of the dream changed, and now Cyther was directly over the ship, and everything was tinted orange. A net appeared from nowhere, and Cyther looked around wildly. He saw himself, sinking to his knees, holding a hand out and screaming with a mixture of rage and desperation. Then, the dream turned around, and he saw why the Cyther in the dream was screaming. There was a helicopter, and the net was attached to a cable coming from the copter. Thrashing about in desperation to get out, the net held. It seemed to be woven from a very tough metal. Shouting in desperation, the real Cyther woke with a start, in a bright room, unable to move. Momentarily blinded, he thrashed a bit, or tried, which ultimately failed. He then realized he wasn’t alone. Craning his neck as much as he could, he saw another man standing near him. This man was dressed in a very weird outfit, and Cyther gasped when the man turned around. It was a Rocket. Unfortunately, the rocket heard Cyther’s gasp, turned around, and laughed cruelly. Cyther hadn’t been moved from the hospital, not yet luckily, but he almost instantly recognized the man now standing in front of him as one of the doctors that had laughed at him earlier. The man, once he finished laughing, walked over to the hospital bed, sneering. ”you and your pathetic Tyranitar are almost identical. You even act the same when tied up.” The man laughed again, pulling a small, wicked looking tool from his pouch. “Looks like we are going to have to… Question you. Your Boss was quite devoid of information, and died before he would reveal anything. Now are you going to tell me about this Snag Machine willingly? Or am I going to have to… Extract it from you?” the man smiled wickedly again, but Cyther was silent. What the man didn’t know was that Cyther was working one of his hands free. After a bit, the man became tired of waiting. “Oh well, I have given you a chance. You will now be subject to my-” He was cut off by Cyther. “Wait, I'll tell… Just… don’t cut me up…” He spoke as if with difficulty, as his voice was down near a whisper. The Rocket laughed softly. “I knew you would… you weakling…” Nonetheless, he bent close to Cyther’s head to listen. Stupid fool… you must be one of the new recruits… I wonder if Rene will get here… before I kill or get killed… He began slowly. “Well… I don’t know much, but I do know that we were headed for the secret laboratory where the prototype is located and being tested. They wouldn’t tell us where, but… I do believe that it was somewhere in Orre, in the center of the region’s Desert. That is all that they would divulge of the information...” Cyther coughed, and as he did so, he brought his hand free, and thwacked the Rocket on the back of his head, sending the man spiraling to the floor. Cyther then laughed. “well, I guess that four years of rigorous training on top of a mountain will do that to a person. Now, I just need to free myself, as this fool will only be out for a little while.” He sighed, and began using his free hand to release the other one. Sakura… you need to get here and help… I don’t know how many rockets are actually in the building… He shook his head, looking over at the young rocket on the floor. “well, we now know one valuable thing. Never take your eyes off an enemy. Ever.” Cyther was talking to himself, but the other man, being unconscious, would still be able to absorb the data.

Sakura entered the room a moment later. She did not even bother to open the door, it simply flew off its hinges as she neared it. Doctors and nurses dropped whatever they were holding and stared, but she did not care. It was going to end up being a confrontation no matter what she did. Sakura did, however, hope that once the real culprit, this rocket, was revealed, the boy and she could leave unquestioned.
“You have a most detestable disrespect for Pokemon and trainers alike,” her voice echoed in the rocket’s head, “No one but you, Cyther, and I can hear this so don’t freak out or they’ll think you’re crazy as well as criminal.”
She grinned, but her eyes narrowed, a purple glow showing through them. Eifee leapt in front of her to glare at the rocket, back arched and fangs and claws exposed. Sakura lifted her hand and the various IV cords and other tubes not connected to Cyther anymore rose from their resting positions and were soon wrapped tightly around the quivering rocket.
“Take a moment to reflect and learn from this. If I ever catch you harming a Pokemon or its trainer ever again, you will sorely regret it.”
The rocket nodded his understanding and fell over unconscious. The fool had turned out to be a coward as well! Sakura turned and walked out the door. In calm, even tones, she explained to the doctors what had transpired. They called the police and Cyther was moved to a new room. After a bit of questioning and a medical exam for Cyther, the two were good to go.
Sakura looked at Cyther as she leaned against a pillar. They stood outside the entrance to the hospital and it was a bright, sunny day out.
“So,” she questioned, “Where do you plan to go from here?”

Cyther squinted in the bright sunlight. "Well... Where are we? I was brought here unconscious... Remember?" He looked around, but the only readable sign said that they were in the emergency loading area. "Uh... let’s go into the town.. Get some grub..." He shook his head, still a little groggy. "I’m hungry... Yeah.. Let’s go get some food. Then I would like to go down to the beach. There is something that I need to get out of the wreckage... before team rocket does... hopefully I'll be able to use one of the standby Pokemon... if they are still there... Let’s just get some food then get to the beach." He started off in the direction of the town, pausing to turn back. "You know more about Giovanni.. I can feel it... especially from the way you handled the grunt. He was a brand new recruit, I'll tell you that. Probably was his first mission..." He broke off, as an ambulance roared up the path, lights flashing and siren wailing. Just before it could hit him, he jumped and rolled out of the way. "Wow they drive fast..." He laughed. "Lets get outta' here." Turning, he began to walk to the town, this time staying off the road.

Sakura took a moment to think and take in Cyther’s response, “Hm… He seems to have been involved with something pretty important to Giovanni. He hardly ever goes to retrieve something in person… And he used Mewtwo… But this kid…”
Sakura shook her head with a sigh and started laughing. This guy had gotten attacked, knocked out, half drowned, attacked at a hospital, and he was worried about what he was going to eat? It just seemed far too amusing to let by.
She responded to his ‘what’s-so-funny?-look’ with, “You’re worried about getting to your ship and finding some Pokemon before Team Rocket, but you want to go eat first? It just seemed funny to me.”
Sakura shrugged and looked around the town, there were large buildings all around. Huge skyscrapers loomed above them, nestled in with quaint little buildings and restaurants. This was obviously more of a city than a town. It may even have rivaled Saffron or Celadon.
She gave an embarrassed grin, putting one hand behind her head, “Besides… I don’t really know where we are either. I had just arrived here when I found you.”

He laughed back as he looked around, good smells wafting in from every direction. His gaze floating around as they walked, Cyther looked up at one of the buildings and clutched his stomach. But it wasn't the height that made him sick... it was what he saw on the top of the building. "Umm... Rene... Look over there..." He pointed at a hotel, one with a helicopter parked on the top. A very familiar Helicopter. "We gotta go. NOW!" he straightened up and bolted, hunger forgotten. This was much more important. Luckily, they were only about a mile from the beach, so the run wasn't too bad on Cyther. Not even bothering to check if Rene was behind him, he rested for a second, then dashed to the steps where he had been unconscious. His pack was laying on the ground, miraculously untouched. "Woa... maybe they aren't here yet..." Picking up his pack and strapping it on, he slowly and silently walked into the hulking remains of the ship's laboratory. Rene.... come and look at this... He stared around in awe. the ship had been equipped with a laboratory, one that was filled with Pokemon. Not for tests, but for training battles. But it hadn't occurred to Cyther how many Pokemon it had been equipped with. "woa..." his mouth was hanging open. There were hundreds of slots in a shelf on the wall, many times more than the known number of Pokemon species on the planet. he walked the rows, but as he neared, he realized that all the Pokemon had been used to fend off the rockets, and had escaped or been captured by the rockets.
But there was one left. Just one. Cyther picked up the last poke ball in the area, one that had been bounced out of it's proper place. Not knowing what would pop out, and desperately hoping that it wouldn't be one from the larvitair family... he pressed the button. A Sneasle came out, swayed on its feet, and dropped. "Damn Little guy... What happened to you?" Cyther, reaching into his recently re-acquired pack, pulled out a bottle of moo-moo milk. "heh.. surprised i still have this... I wonder whether or not it is still ok..." He sipped it, and aside from being warm, it tasted fresh. "wow... Haven't had that in a while..." Shaking his head, he knelt down, held the Sneasle's head, and tipped a little of the milk into its mouth. it blinked, looking at him strangely before smiling. Cyther smiled back, and tipped a Little more of the milk into the Sneasle's mouth. it snatched the bottle, stood up uncertainly, and drank the whole thing. Cyther was taken back, but the cuts and bruises on the sneasle were at least beginning to fade away. "Hey... you wanna come with me? I gotta bone to pick with this guy named Giovanni..." Cyther laughed. "Aww screw it... Lets just go anyways.. I wanna get out of here." the sneasle nodded and made its way to the door. stowing the Poke Ball in his pouch, he followed it, pausing and looking around before leaving the room entirely. "I wonder where my Artifact is..."

Sakura was standing outside, leaning against the hull of the ship with a mildly bored expression on her face. Her Espeon was perched alertly on her shoulder, scanning the beach for any danger. So far, the rockets had not shown up yet.
“I don’t think they’re coming anytime soon,” she said as Cyther approached, “They think they got everything from your ship. My theory is that whoever is in that helicopter you saw is trying to bail their recruit out. Then they’ll come here and try to cover this up.”
Sakura stood and Eifee jumped from her shoulder to the ground. She turned and looked at Cyther seriously. He was actually planning on going through with this insane plan of his. Cyther intended to find Giovanni and confront him. Sakura still did not know how this guy had gotten mixed up with Giovanni, but it must have been something big. She noticed that he’d managed to get at least one Pokemon, a Sneasel.
“I’m sorry,” she told him, “But if you’re going after this Giovanni guy, Eifee and I shall not be accompanying you. We came here to escape from criminal organizations, not get involved with one.”

Cyther laughed. "Heh... Giovanni is back in his base in Viridian, on Kanto. There is no way that I am gonna be finding him any time soon." The Sneasle jumped up onto his shoulders, and he smiled at it. "hey. you don't mind being called claws... do ya?" The sneasle seemed to consider it, then shrugged. "OK, claws it is." turning back to Rene, he scratched his head. "I was figurin that I was gonna wander this rock... starting with that town, and add to my collection of badges. On that boat, we visited every of the other Pokemon nations, But hadn't Heard about this one, so we didn't bother with it... It would have been better for us to learn about this place.. as that giant Pokemon in the sea was quite impressive." he stopped for a breath. "and besides, only a fool would charge into a place like Giovanni's hideout without a well rounded team of six powerful pokemon... Especially before mewtwo had escaped... But now, it might be a little easier." he looked off into the distance, and saw a tall mountain, its peak surrounded by clouds. A dull, red light came from behind the clouds, but Cyther couldn't feel tremors, so didn't worry about it. "but I'm not eve sure if we are anywhere near being able to get back to Kanto... as all I know is that we are to the west of it..."
Cyther sighed. "anyways, I need to find two things. The prototype Snag ball, and the DNA frame... wanna help?" He grinned. "it'll go much faster with more people, and I even have a picture to go with it." he pulled out a small notepad, which he flipped around in until he came to a page with a drawing of a strange looking pokeball. "it'll be somewhere in a case, and my guess is that the security is still up, so be extremely careful. The DNA frame looks like this." he flipped to another page, one that had a picture of a small chip. "it should be near the Snag Ball. Now, if either of these items get into Giovanni's hands, the rest of us are screwed." He sighed. Do you know what a snag ball can do? it can capture a Pokemon, even one that has been captured by someone else... crazy, eh? He sighed. The DNA frame was going to be the hardest to find, and of course, it was the most precious. it had DNA on it from something with immense power, as the readings that had scanned it malfunctioned with the power overload. "So... wanna help me search?"

Sakura shook her head and put a hand to it, “I have a feeling that I am going to regret this, but I’ll come along…. On one condition.”
Eifee looked up at Sakura and mewed with confusion. The Pokemon could tell that Sakura had just agreed to go with Cyther after she had already refused to get involved with Team Rocket again.
“You need to tell me who you are, how you ended up here, who your boss was, what happened to your other Pokemon, and what exactly these things we’re searching for do.”
(Pathetically short response, but it was hard to respond to)
